It may only be a faulty disc, but it looks like Anno 1503 uses a particularly nasty version of SecuROM copy protection on the 2d disc.
SecuROM is notorious, but this particular version of SecuROM plain caused numerous bug from twenty-four hour period ane.
There is a chance your problem has to do with running 64bit Windows.
Several DRM companies earlier products don't recognise 64bit Windows, and while some of these games may all the same install, others won't.
- When a game does install, using a noCD fix\hack will allow the game to run on 64bit Windows though. Information technology's only the DRM that
has an issue with 64bit, and the noCD prepare circumvents the disc check.
( I believe Anno 1503 Ad changed to Safedisk re-create protection, which you lot even so demand to utilize a noCD set up with on Win10 thank you to MS,
only it would have a better chance of installing completely from the disc.)
- Some old games that neglect to install direct from the disc will install if the files are all copied to a binder on the Desktop and the game
is installed from there, but I doubt this will work with this game due to some of the special 'tricks' SecuROM implemented in this version.
Or.... Buy Anno 1503 Advertisement from Skillful Sometime Games. Expect for information technology to proceed sale and you should be able to pick up a copy for under $5- USD
GOG remove pesky DRM and make other tweaks that may be necessary to keep their games running on mod Windows versions.

Yep... Well, perhaps, if your game has the sub-championship 'Setting Out For a New World", just information technology will but piece of work if you manage to finish installing the game.
- Use the fix version that corresponds with the version you have patched the game to....

I tried to download from the website simply it keeps telling me information technology uses an unsupported protocol.

I'll estimate you are using Firefox. Firefox has been a chip on\off with these downloads. They were blocking downloads from this site
a few years agone (mainly due to the nature of the content - cracked .exe), but gave an option to override.
Not so this time. I but had a go an got a similar message regarding a revoked certificate, just with no option to override.
Hopefully this will alter back to normal over time.
- However... No such problem when I used Edge to download the English v1.2 prepare.
The .exe title is 1503Startup.exe. If this matches the championship for your version of Anno 1503's executable, it should work with the game.

So I downloaded a noCD set and the game starts ti liad then the screen goes black and i clicking this think with rwndom writin gon maxim ok only then the game closes and tells me i need authoritative permissions but im the admin of the lsptop and I've mad information technology run every bit a n administrator in settinsg. Practice y'all know what i tin can do?
